The YAMA Project is a 3-week immersion trip focused on Solidarity and the Environment, aiming at raising French and refugee youth’ awareness about ecology and migration in Europe, created by two partner organizations:
YAKA...
+ MADERA...
YES Akademia (YAKA) is a citizen project for the youth, setting up an innovative program based on sharing and inter-cultural immersion, to let them gain self-confidence and make their dreams come true. YAKA’s vision is to create a virtuous spiral in which the youth help each other to accompany the development of their communities. YAMA accelerates the skills of youth from all walks of life, so that they can develop their own entrepreneurial spirit, and change their perspectives at local and global levels.
MADERA is an NGO founded in 1988, who contributed for about 30 years to develop rural areas in Afghanistan (agroforestry, animal health, access to water, help to refugees,…) In 2020, they have launched the Ali Jan Project: a socio-professional inclusion support program for the beneficiaries of international protection (BIP), accompanying them towards French rural and suburban areas. One of the main objectives of this project is to raise awareness, by organizing workshops and immersion trips.
